XRP Dips: Buying Every Crash Hasn't Paid Off for Investors
XRP investors who bought every 20% dip since 2024 have lost money despite seeming to time their purchases wisely. A hypothetical investor who spent $600 across six buys from November 2024 to June 2026 would now be left with about $582, a loss of nearly 3%. The strategy looked successful in the short term: one purchase at $2.10 in February 2025 made the position worth over $900.
However, this growth was followed by five more dips, and each time the investor had to spend more money buying tokens than they would have if they'd bought once at a lower price. In fact, a single $600 investment on January 1, 2024 would have yielded about $1,050 today.
XRP has experienced six dips of over 20% since 2024, but only one of them was at a price below its starting point in November 2024. The other five were above that initial level, making the purchases more expensive than simply buying once.
