XRP Edges Out Cardano as Crypto Bear Market Lingers
XRP and Cardano are both struggling to recover from the crypto bear market. However, their paths to recovery differ.
XRP's ledger is expanding its capabilities to capture a share of the tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) market. The chain's tradeable tokenized assets reached $323 million in value as of July 21, up from $130 million a year ago.
The growth of these assets may be just beginning. XRP settled its first cross-border tokenized U.S. Treasury redemption on May 6 in less than five seconds, showing that financial institutions may find the XRPL useful.
XRP's seven U.S. spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have absorbed $1.4 billion in cumulative net capital inflows since their launch.
Cardano, on the other hand, faces challenges in its ecosystem and has not demonstrated significant growth despite upgrades to improve network performance.
