XRP ETF Holdings Reach Nearly $1 Billion as Institutional Demand Remains Strong
Despite XRP's recent price slump to a multi-year low, institutional demand for the token remains strong through exchange-traded funds (ETFs). As of August 13, seven XRP spot ETF products held a total of 992.5 million XRP, with cumulative net inflows reaching $1.51 billion.
This significant accumulation of XRP via ETFs is noteworthy because it differs from the typical large token locks associated with Ripple's activities. Historically, such movements have raised market caution, but this time the focus has shifted to investor behavior and demand for regulated exposure to XRP.
While new inflows into these ETFs have slowed to a near standstill, with daily performance at virtually zero and net inflows on the latest trading day totaling $0, the existing asset base remains substantial. This indicates that investors continue to seek XRP exposure despite the token's recent price weakness.
