XRP ETF Sees Record 11-Day Net Inflows of $170M
The US-listed XRP ETF has seen continuous net inflows for 11 consecutive trading days, attracting approximately $170 million in investment. Since its launch in November last year, these funds have collectively drawn around $1.68 billion. As of Wednesday morning, the price of XRP was around $1.33 per unit, down from the August 27 high of $1.45 but above the mid-August level of $1 dollar.
According to the latest 13F filings, Goldman Sachs holds the largest institutional stake in the XRP ETF, with approximately $87 million invested. Jane Street and Millennium Management follow closely, holding around $16.6 million and $16.2 million respectively.
The investment advisor category has the largest share of holdings, accounting for about $1.2 billion out of a total of $1.83 billion disclosed. Meanwhile, hedge funds hold around $25 million, while brokers and banks have invested approximately $17 million and $14 million, respectively.
However, it is essential to note that the institutional ownership figures only reflect 6/30 holdings, whereas the continuous net inflow data represents new investments from late August to early September. These numbers represent total ETF holdings, not investors' full exposure to XRP, as institutions like Goldman Sachs may use derivatives or other tools to hedge price risks.
