XRP ETFs Soar as Institutional Investors Bet on Ripple's Settlement Network
Ripple's XRP is gaining traction among institutional investors as they bet on its potential to become a major settlement network for stablecoins, tokenized assets, and cross-border payments.
The investment case for XRP rests on four factors: regulatory clarity, easier institutional access, measurable network activity, and a fixed supply. One of the key reasons behind this is that the Securities and Exchange Commission's case against Ripple ended in August 2025, removing a legal cloud that had followed XRP since December 2020.
This development matters because XRP targets banks, asset managers, and payment companies - institutions least likely to allocate while its regulatory status remained disputed. The launch of seven U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in November 2025 has also collected $1.3 billion during their first month and recorded 55 consecutive days of net inflows.
The XRP Ledger has moved nearly $500 billion in on-chain value over the past 12 months, according to an investment thesis published by Maximalist. This growth is reflected in adoption metrics such as Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin, which grew from $72 million to about $1.6 billion.
