XRP Eyes $1.46 as Whale Accumulation Returns
XRP's price has been trading near $1.40 as whale accumulation rebounded in September, according to data from CryptoQuant. The metric had turned mostly negative in late August, but recent readings show accumulation recovering alongside network activity that has remained elevated.
Daily XRP Ledger transactions have stayed above 2M through early September, with active accounts and payments also holding at higher levels. Institutional flows added another support signal, with SoSoValue data showing cumulative spot XRP ETF inflows at $1.68B.
Crypto analyst Ali Martinez identified a descending triangle on XRP's hourly chart and said a confirmed move above $1.40 could open a path toward $1.46. He advised traders to wait for an hourly close above $1.40 before entering, citing the level as the immediate technical trigger.
The total XRP futures open interest rose 0.81% over four hours to $3.13B, with modest buying interest shown in futures positioning. Martinez also identified $3.66 as the key resistance level and said a monthly close above it could activate a technical target near $60.
