XRP Eyes Breakthrough as August Curse Looms Large
XRP's four-year August losing streak is still looming over its price, but one major on-chain signal suggests that selling pressure may be fading.
The token has finished every August in the red since 2022, with losses of 13.6% in 2022, 26.6% in 2023, 9.17% in 2024, and 8.15% in 2025.
Crypto trader Zach Rector believes XRP may not be out of danger yet, warning that August has often been difficult during U.S. midterm election years, with average declines of about 14%.
However, chart analyst ChartNerd noted that XRP is approaching its long-term ascending support line that has held since 2020, which could signal a strong rally rather than a deeper breakdown.
