XRP Eyes Technical Breakout as CLARITY Act Vote Looms on August 7
Crypto analyst Dark Defender believes XRP is approaching an important technical breakout. According to him, both chart signals and progress on the CLARITY Act suggest a favorable setup for XRP's next move. The Senate has until August 7 to hold a floor vote on the bill, which could make XRP's classification as a digital commodity permanent under federal law.
Dark Defender pointed out that XRP is trading near the intersection of a descending trendline and rising support on its three-day chart. He identified three upside targets: $1.22, $1.33, and $1.88, with Fibonacci extension levels marked near $1.17 and $1.11. The Relative Strength Index has started to rise after remaining in lower territory.
The analyst linked the technical outlook directly to developments surrounding the CLARITY Act. He suggested that a favorable outcome for the legislation could provide additional support for XRP if the technical breakout materializes. However, not everyone agreed with Dark Defender's optimistic outlook. Slowdive1974 questioned the value of projecting higher prices after XRP has spent many years trading within a relatively limited range.
