XRP Falls Behind Amid Weak Institutional Demand and Regulatory Delays
XRP's price has dropped by around 3.6% over the past seven days, making it the weakest of the major cryptocurrencies this week.
The total crypto market capitalization stood near $2.28 trillion, up about 0.5% on the day, but XRP fell while most other assets held or rose in value.
One key reason for XRP's underperformance is a sharp slowdown in institutional demand through spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs), with weekly net inflows plummeting 93% to about $1.01 million, down from $14.86 million the prior week.
Another factor contributing to XRP's decline is Grayscale's selling of XRP Trust, which reported net outflows of 103.41 million XRP worth around $180.78 million during the first half of 2026.
