XRP Futures Volume Surges Past $64 Billion in Busiest Month Since February
XRP futures volume surged past $64 billion in August, marking the token's strongest month of contract trading since February.
The rebound in derivatives turnover was broad-based across Binance, Bybit, and OKX exchanges, with a nearly 30% intra-month price swing that carried the token from roughly $1.06 to a peak of $1.50 on Aug. 24 before settling back to $1.35 by month-end.
Binance accounted for the largest share of derivatives turnover, handling approximately $37 billion in XRP contracts during August, followed by Bybit with around $14.54 billion and OKX with roughly $12.88 billion.
The technical backdrop remains less convincing, according to Crypto analyst ChartNerd, who noted that XRP has stayed below its 50-week weighted exponential moving average for three consecutive weeks.
