XRP Gains Liquidity Edge as RLUSD Supply Surges
Ripple's XRP Ledger is gaining liquidity, thanks to the rapid growth of RLUSD, a stablecoin that has seen its supply surge by over 30% in recent times.
This trend is being observed amidst a broader market backdrop where risk-on sentiment is on the rise. As high-cap assets break resistance and leverage builds up, stronger liquidity flows are becoming increasingly important to sustain momentum.
According to data from DeFiLlama, RLUSD leads in capital flows over various timeframes, pushing its market cap above $2 billion. Its monthly supply growth is significantly higher than that of USDT, with the latter seeing a decline of 0.4%.
The same trend is visible when comparing RLUSD's flows to the other top 11 stablecoins. This momentum has positioned XRPL in the spotlight, with RLUSD representing over 90% of all stablecoins on the XRP Ledger and up by more than 8% during the last seven days.
The impact of this divergence is beginning to appear in price action as well, with the XRP/ETH ratio closing last week up over 17%, its best weekly performance since the beginning of Q1 2025. The key question that emerges is: Can RLUSD serve as a fundamental support for Ripple against Ethereum in this cycle?
