XRP Gains Major South Korean Market Access with RLUSD Listing
XRP has gained significant access to South Korea's major market with the listing of Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin on Upbit, the country's largest crypto exchange.
The move boosts XRP's exposure in a market where Upbit commands 70% of trading volume, making XRP's liquidity in the Korean won market one of Asia's deepest.
This development supports direct local currency trades rather than stablecoin intermediaries and is seen as a major milestone for XRP in South Korea.
However, despite this growth, XRP's price dropped nearly 5% to $1.055 amid broader crypto market declines influenced by geopolitical tensions and expectations of a Fed rate hike.
