XRP Healthcare Shuts Down Amid $452K Wallet Breach
XRP Healthcare, a healthcare-focused project built on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), has announced it will shut down after a wallet breach drained approximately $452,000 from 4,011 user accounts.
The incident occurred on September 3, when a collector address began sweeping XRPH Wallet balances. The attacker targeted the largest accounts first and eventually absorbed more than 242,000 XRP by around 22:30 UTC.
On-chain analytics platform XRPL.to later counted 10,281 payments from 4,011 sender wallets, with one sender funding the collector address.
The root cause of the breach was identified as a weak key generation flaw in the XRPH Wallet app. The developer report found that the app passed a 55-character value into the XRPL key function but only retained the first 16 characters, shrinking the wallet's effective keyspace from 2^128 to approximately 2^46.
XRP Healthcare has confirmed the orderly delisting of its XRPH and XRPHAI tokens with individual exchange deadlines still to be set. The company is working with exchanges, platforms, and authorities to recover affected funds.
