XRP Healthcare Suffers Major Wallet Breach, $452K Stolen
XRP Healthcare's XRPH Wallet app suffered a major breach that drained 4,011 user wallets of 267,664 XRP tokens worth approximately $452,000. The attack targeted the wallet application layer, not the XRP Ledger itself.
The hackers exploited the fact that wallet seeds were stored unencrypted on users' phones and sent to servers during staking. Most affected wallets had never used staking, indicating broader security flaws in the system.
The stolen XRP tokens have been traced moving through the Ethereum blockchain, highlighting risks associated with wallet key management despite the XRP Ledger's security features.
XRPH Wallet access remains disabled as investigations continue to identify the root cause of the breach and prevent similar incidents in the future.
