XRP Hits Near-Historic Low of $1 Amid Aggressive Selling
XRP has plummeted to nearly $1, testing its lowest point for the year and putting its 2026 low at risk. The token briefly dipped below $1 on August 10, but buyers pushed it back up to around $1.02.
The current price leaves little room underneath, with the next visible support sitting around $0.93. Bulls need to keep that break from developing and then recover the 50-day SMA near $1.08.
Spot flows still favor aggressive sellers, and long liquidations are amplifying the decline. XRP's daily RSI is already down to 33.9, but it has not yet crossed below 30.
Funding rates have not fully reset, leaving some long bias in the perpetual market even after leveraged buyers have taken losses. If $1 breaks while that deleveraging continues, liquidation-driven selling could make the move toward $0.93 faster.
