XRP Investors Eye Critical Senate Vote Amidst Record-Breaking ETF Inflows
XRP is currently trading at around $1.37 after experiencing a 2% decline over the past 24 hours. The upcoming Senate vote on the CLARITY Act, scheduled for September 15, has caught the attention of XRP investors and analysts.
The cloture motion requires a 60-vote threshold to advance the legislation to full Senate debate, but its passage is not guaranteed. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the outcome, forecasters have revised their probability estimates from 82% in February to around 14% this year.
Crypto analyst XrpArab pointed out that CFTC Chair Michael Selig seems optimistic about the September 15 Senate proceeding, but highlighted unresolved complications that need attention. The analyst also discussed potential consequences if the cloture motion fails before the October election recess.
