XRP Ledger 3.3.0 Nears Launch with Major Security Updates
The XRP Ledger is on the cusp of its next major upgrade, version 3.3.0, after completing a thorough community security review.
RippleX Head of Product Jazzi Cooper revealed that five new features are being added to the ledger, which have been thoroughly tested by independent security researchers.
The most significant update is the introduction of Confidential MPTs, which uses zero-knowledge proofs and elliptic curve cryptography to provide anonymity for MPT transfers. Other notable features include Batch Transactions, Permission Delegation, Sponsored Fees and Reserves, and Dynamic MPT.
The community security review was conducted in collaboration with Web3 security firm Sherlock, who reviewed five major topics including transaction processing, permission delegation, decentralized exchange, token confidentiality, and fee sponsorship.
