XRP Ledger Activates Batch Amendment Upgrade This Month

The XRP Ledger is set to receive a significant upgrade this month with the activation of BatchV1_1, a major amendment that has been in development for some time. The update has gained support from 68% of validators, which is close to the required threshold of 80%. If support remains above this level continuously for two weeks, the amendment will be activated.

The amendment will allow developers to package up to eight transactions together inside a single transaction, making it easier to create complex infrastructure for certain apps. This new functionality has been highly anticipated by XRPL developers and builders, who have been waiting for the ability to define how separate on-ledger actions depend on one another.

However, activation is not yet guaranteed, as support must remain above 80% continuously for two weeks before the amendment can go live. If support falls back below this level, the countdown will reset and the process will start over again.
