XRP Ledger Earns Official Recognition from Icon Toolkit
The XRP Ledger has earned official recognition from Font Awesome, a widely used icon toolkit in web development. After seven years of campaigning on GitHub, the XRP and XRPL logos have been added to Font Awesome's library.
This milestone is significant for the cryptocurrency industry as it marks the first time that Font Awesome has included an asset other than Bitcoin or Ethereum. The integration will make it easier for developers to display official XRP logos on their websites using a single line of code.
The campaign, which started in 2018, gained momentum by 2020 with token holders and application developers organizing mass voting and pushing the topic to the top of discussions. However, the requests remained unanswered for years, sparking discussions about possible bias towards the Ripple ecosystem.
