$XRP Ledger Fix Upgrade Reaches Majority Consensus, September Activation Likely
The $XRP Ledger is on track to receive an important fix upgrade in September. The fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment, a bundle of bug fixes and improvements, has reached majority consensus with 82.86% support. This means that the upgrade will likely activate on September 11, 2026, unless its support falls below 80% at any point.
The fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment is a collection of fixes for various features in the $XRP Ledger, including Single Asset Vaults, the Lending Protocol, Automated Market Makers, and pseudo-accounts. It unifies freeze and deep freeze checks for transfers to and from pseudo-accounts and makes changes to CheckCash and CheckCancel transactions.
Vet (@Vet_X0) highlighted this development in a recent post, noting that node operators should upgrade their nodes in time so they can keep operating once the fix upgrade activates. The upgrade is expected to harden existing $XRP Ledger features.
