XRP Ledger fixCleanup3_3_0 Upgrade Enters Activation Window
The XRP Ledger is gearing up for a significant upgrade in September, following strong consensus on the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment. With 82.86% of validators voting in favor, the two-week activation window has begun, potentially culminating in the update on September 11, 2026. The bundled fix amendment focuses on hardening existing XRP Ledger features, including Single Asset Vaults, the Lending Protocol, and Automated Market Makers.
The upgrade addresses several issues, such as unifying freeze and deep-freeze checks for transfers involving pseudo-accounts in multiple vaults and AMM transactions. It also corrects edge cases related to order-book and AMM operations, ensuring that hybrid offers remain visible on the open order book even if the account creating them loses access to a permissioned domain.
Validators must maintain sufficient support until the activation window closes to ensure a smooth transition to the new version. The update is expected to improve the reliability and accuracy of transactions, as well as tighten validation behavior before transactions are processed.
