XRP Ledger Gains Institutional Attention from France, Japan, and Swift
The XRP Ledger has gained significant attention from global financial institutions in recent times. According to a report, France ranks first among these institutions, having already deployed its regulated EURCV token on the ledger. Société Générale-FORGE issued this token, and it is currently being used by Bpifrance for settlement, payments, treasury, and liquidity operations.
Banque de France, the AMF, and Treasury are also studying tokenized financial markets, including deposits, stablecoins, securities, and wholesale central-bank money. This work includes a project to tokenize French short-term debt through Pythagore.
Japan ranks second in this report, with SBI Ripple Asia providing evidence of its proof-of-concept for using XRP Ledger for tokenized bank deposits. Further work is also being done on Japan-Korea payments and blockchain-based financial services.
