XRP Ledger Hackathon Set for NYC Ahead of Swell Conference

The XRP Ledger Hackathon is set to take place in New York from October 24-25, 2026, just before Ripple's Swell conference. The hackathon is a 36-hour in-person sprint hosted by XRPL Commons and the XRP Ledger Foundation.

There are four tracks for the hackathon: Protocol Innovation, Agentic Finance, Lending & Borrowing, and Why Not. The lending track carries significant weight as it focuses on amendments XLS-65 and XLS-66, which require more than 80% validator support to activate.

The hackathon is paired with a three-day Core Dev Bootcamp that runs from October 20-22. This bootcamp aims to introduce C++ developers to the amendment process and help them contribute to protocol maintenance.
