XRP Ledger Hits 5 Billion Transactions, But 92% Come From Bots
The XRP Ledger has reached an impressive milestone of over 5 billion transactions. However, new data reveals that 92% of August's activity on the ledger came from just 767 bots.
According to Bitquery, a total of 793 sender accounts were responsible for 93.2% of all transactions in August. Of these, 767 were classified as machines, accounting for 92% of all transactions.
The data also shows that exchange hot wallets contributed another 1.1% of transactions, while the remaining 7.8% came from a large number of smaller accounts.
Evernorth Research found that XRP order-book trading volume rose by 79% in the second quarter compared to the same period last year, despite a 40% decline in the number of accounts initiating trades.
