XRP Ledger Integrates Credit and Privacy Features for Intermediary-Free Transactions

The XRP Ledger is set to incorporate new features that will allow institutions and retail users to operate without intermediaries. The upcoming updates include credit and privacy tools, enabled by amendments XLS-65 and XLS-66, which introduce institutional lending pools backed by RLUSD, Ripple's native stablecoin. This development advances through the partnership between Ripple, Clearpool, and Cicada Partners.

Amendment XLS-0096 introduces 'accountable' privacy over the MPT standard, encrypting balances and amounts without eliminating transparency for issuers and regulators. The goal is for institutions and everyday users to operate directly from their wallets, without relying on bridges or intermediaries that drive up costs.

The XRP Ledger already includes an order book and AMM, tokenization, and regulatory compliance controls. With the addition of credit and privacy features, the network is transitioning towards a fully native DeFi stack.
