XRP Ledger Introduces First Privacy Amendment with Confidential Transfer
The XRP Ledger has reached a significant milestone as its first privacy-focused amendment moves into the voting process.
The amendment, known as Confidential Transfer (XLS-0096), allows for private and auditable transactions for Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs) on the XRP Ledger.
This feature provides institutional-grade privacy using advanced cryptography, keeping individual balances and transfer amounts shielded from the public ledger while maintaining compliance mechanisms for authorized parties.
The update also includes several bug fixes in the FixCleanup3_3_0 amendment, which retires long-active amendments such as Clawback and fixDisallowIncomingV1.
