XRP Ledger Nears One Million Daily Payments Amid Price Drop

The XRP Ledger network is approaching another significant milestone as daily payments reach nearly one million. According to XRPSCAN data, the network processed 879,868 payments on September 1, bringing it close to the 890,000 threshold.

This represents a 33.6% increase over the previous day and suggests that recent activity is more than just typical daily fluctuations. In fact, current daily payments are about 193,000 higher than the network's recent average of around 686,800.

While surpassing one million daily payments would not be an all-time high, with a historical peak of roughly six million, it would still mark a significant improvement over the poorer conditions seen in June and July. This increase in activity is particularly notable given that it's happening while XRP's price has dropped to around $1.32, below its 200-day EMA at $1.35.
