XRP Ledger Payment Volume Surges to $620 Million Amid Falling User Activity

XRP Ledger payment volume surged to $620 million over the past 24 hours, marking a 26% increase. This significant jump in transaction activity is accompanied by an uptick in value transacted on the network.

However, core engagement metrics paint a mixed picture. Newly created XRP Ledger accounts rose 8.8% to 2,300, while active accounts increased only slightly, up 1.3% to 14,500. Meanwhile, network fees grew by 8.5% to 277.4 XRP over the 24-hour period.

The number of active users fell sharply, dropping 22.4% to 151,500. This decline has led analysts to point out the disconnection between user engagement and transactional volume.
