XRP Ledger Prepares Five Key Upgrades to Enhance Privacy and Institutional Use
The XRP Ledger development team is gearing up for a major upgrade to its software. The upcoming xrpld 3.3.0 release will include five proposed amendments aimed at improving privacy, atomic settlement, and institutional onboarding.
The key features of the update include Confidential MPT for private token balances, batch transactions enabling delivery-versus-payment, delegated permissions for controlled access, sponsored fees to ease user onboarding, and dynamic token properties for flexibility.
These upgrades aim to support global transfers, trading, and settlement of tokenized assets, moving XRPL closer to broader institutional use. However, the activation of these amendments requires approval by at least 80% of trusted validators over two weeks after the software release, expected next week.
