XRP Ledger Prepares for Crucial Fix Upgrade in Early September
The XRP Ledger is preparing for an important fix upgrade in September, as a bundle of amendment-gated bug fixes, fixCleanup3_3_0, has reached majority consensus with 82.86% support.
According to Hussein Zangana (Vet), the bundled fix amendment in XRPL 3.3.0 entered a 2-week activation window on August 28, following its introduction in xrpld version 3.3.0 release on August 6.
The upgrade, which is expected to activate on September 11, will further harden existing XRP Ledger features and fix various bugs, including those affecting Single Asset Vaults, the Lending Protocol, Automated Market Makers, and pseudo-accounts.
fixCleanup3_3_0 makes several key changes, including unifying freeze and deep freeze checks for transfers to and from pseudo-accounts in certain transactions, rejecting 'all-zero CheckID' with 'temMALFORMED', and adding precision loss checks to AMMDeposit, AMMWithdraw, and AMMClawback.
