XRP Ledger Prepares for v3.3.0 Upgrade with Five Powerful New Features
The XRP Ledger is gearing up for its major v3.3.0 software upgrade, set to be released next week, according to RippleX Head of Product Jazzi Cooper.
The upgrade will bring five powerful new features that aim to boost tokenization, institutional finance, and real-world asset (RWA) adoption on the network.
One of the most significant additions is Confidential MPT, which enables privacy for tokenized assets using elliptic curve cryptography and zero-knowledge proofs. This feature will allow issuers and holders to keep transaction data private while still allowing entities like regulators or auditors to access it when needed.
The Batch amendment will enable the grouping of multiple transactions into a single atomic operation, reducing settlement risk and enhancing efficiency for institutional trading and tokenized asset transfers.
Permission Delegation will allow organizations to delegate narrow transaction permissions without giving up control of their primary signing keys. Sponsored Fees and Reserves will simplify onboarding by allowing banks or platforms to pay XRP transaction fees and reserve requirements on behalf of users. Finally, Dynamic MPT will enable issuers to modify token properties after issuance.
