XRP Ledger Seals Security Gaps with Permission Delegation Overhaul
XRP Ledger has made significant improvements to its permission delegation technology through XLS-75 innovation.
The update addresses security gaps found during V1.0 testing, including a critical vulnerability reported before the feature reached the XRPL mainnet.
J. Ayo Akinyele, an XRP Ledger developer, explained that Permission Delegation allows one account to act for another within specific permissions given by the account owner.
The update introduces V1.1, which pulls the amendment and adds fixes for delegate checks and multi-signing, closing gaps around delegate identity and preventing newer features from being delegated by mistake.
