XRP Ledger Sees 2M Autonomous Transactions Worth Just $7,400
The XRP Ledger has seen a surge in activity from autonomous AI agents, logging over 2 million transactions in just one month. According to data from xrpl-ai.org, this influx of activity is largely driven by two projects: Heurist Mesh and LucyOS.
However, despite the high frequency of these transactions, the total settlement volume amounts to a modest $7,400. This is because each transaction typically involves paying microscopic amounts for specific requests, with an average value of just $0.0035.
The ecosystem developed by t54.ai uses the open x402 standard, which allows programs to issue and pay invoices instantly within fractions of a second. The hub includes 141 verified merchants, but most traffic is generated by these two projects, as well as others such as ClawBank and AskSurf.
The fixed network fee on XRPL is only $0.0002, making it technically impossible for traditional banks to process fiat dollars through the same means.
