XRP Ledger Sees 38% Transaction Surge Amid Price Volatility
The XRP Ledger saw a significant increase in transactions, rising by 38.5% to approximately 2.1 million. This surge was accompanied by a 65.5% increase in successful transactions.
However, active accounts and new accounts decreased by nearly 26%, while payments dropped over 31%. This suggests that the transaction growth is driven by automated systems or existing infrastructure rather than new users.
The rising number of transactions coincides with XRP's recent price volatility. In fact, the asset recently rallied to $1.70 before pulling back. Despite this increase in activity, XRP payment volume and fees declined, indicating less economic value transfer.
