XRP Ledger Sees 70% Surge in Transaction Execution as Price Stagnates
The XRP Ledger has seen a significant increase in transaction execution, rising by approximately 70% over the observed period. This growth is notable, given that it contrasts with XRP's stagnant price movement.
The data also shows that there are around 15,000 active sending accounts and 170,000 daily active users on the network. This indicates a strong underlying usage of the XRP Ledger, as opposed to relying on individual transactions.
The factors driving this growth include increasing payment activity, which is likely due to the ledger's popularity for quick and inexpensive transfers. Additionally, XRPL-based applications, such as token issuance, decentralized exchange activity, and automated market maker operations, are generating more on-chain transactions. The efficiency of the XRP Ledger, completing transactions in seconds with low fees, also contributes to its appeal.
However, despite these improving fundamentals, XRP's price remains stuck at around $1.06, failing to recover above its 50-day and 100-day exponential moving averages. Momentum indicators remain muted, and the RSI is below the neutral threshold of 50.
