XRP Ledger Sees Major Update with Six New Features
The XRP Ledger has received a significant update, moving from version 3.2.1 to 3.3.0. This upgrade brings six new features, including Batch, Permission Delegation, Sponsor, and Confidential Transfers.
Built on top of the existing network architecture, these features are designed to enhance user experience and improve functionality for both retail users and institutions. The Batch feature allows up to eight transactions to be bundled together, making it easier for retail apps to monetize more easily and enabling delivery versus payment for institutions.
Permission Delegation enables institutions to share transaction permissions with other parties without losing overall control. This could expand the use of Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin by allowing partner banks to help mint it. The Sponsor feature removes a technical barrier for new users, as companies can now cover XRP reserve costs for their users.
