XRP Ledger Sees Record Transactions Amid Fee Decline
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) settled $159.9 billion in transactions during the first half of 2026, according to a report from asset manager 21Shares.
This development highlights substantial network activity despite blockchain fees plummeting by 81.6% year over year.
XRPL transaction fees fell significantly, with revenue declining mainly due to decreased activity in AMM swap fees and NFT royalties, which made up about 89% of the ledger's total revenue.
The report also found that the network's stablecoin base expanded by a substantial 1,131%, driven largely by the growth of Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin.
