XRP Ledger Sees Surge in Daily Payments, Nears One Million Transactions

The XRP Ledger network has seen a significant surge in activity, processing nearly one million daily payments on September 1. According to data from XRPSCAN, the network handled 879,868 transactions that day, marking a 33.6% increase compared to the previous day.

This spike in volume is notable, as it brings the network's daily payment count close to the one million mark. Historically, the XRP Ledger has seen periods of elevated on-chain usage, with peak volumes reaching up to two million transactions per day.

The 30-day average for daily payments on the XRP Ledger is around 686,800 transactions. If current activity continues to rise by an additional 13.7%, the network may surpass one million daily payments once again.
