XRP Ledger Sets New Record with 3,254 Transactions in One Ledger
A record-breaking 3,254 transactions were processed by the XRP Ledger in one ledger on September 14th. The high volume of activity was confirmed by validator operator Vet, who reviewed the ledger and identified thousands of small transfers as the primary cause.
According to Vet, most of the transactions involved basic native XRP transfers, with a vast majority consisting of 'one-drop' payments. One drop is equivalent to one millionth of one XRP, making these transactions extremely small in value but numerous in quantity.
The high volume of activity did not disrupt the ledger's stability, thanks to its adaptive soft target system, which can adjust transaction capacity based on network performance and consensus.
