XRP Ledger Smashes Transaction Record with 2,713 Deals in One Ledger
The XRP Ledger network has set a new record for the number of transactions processed in a single ledger, with 2,713 transactions validated on September 13, 2026. This milestone was achieved by Hussein Zangana (Vet), director of community at the XRP Ledger Foundation, who highlighted it in a recent tweet.
The previous high score for the XRPL was 2,768 transactions, but this new record has taken the top spot. Vet noted that the XRP Ledger network handled the massive transaction load with ease, closing the ledger in just 3.8 seconds.
This achievement is significant because it underscores the speed and scalability of the XRP Ledger network, making it an attractive option for institutional use at scale. The vast majority of transactions were 1-drop transactions passed on in a ring of 20 accounts, with some bots firing at the same time.
Vet also noted that node operators may need to increase their message size limits due to the high transaction volume. Additionally, the director highlighted the increasing demand for Zero Knowledge Identity, spotlighting Credentials (XLS-70) and decentralized identity (XLS-40) amendments.
