XRP Ledger Stablecoin Supply Surpasses $1 Billion
The XRP Ledger has reached a significant milestone with the supply of Ripple USD (RLUSD) on the network surpassing $1 billion. This marks a notable increase in the amount of the stablecoin issued on the XRP Ledger, according to XRPL Validator Vet.
Vet highlighted the progress made over the past two years, stating that compared to 2022, this is 'a night and day difference' in terms of the network's activity. The validator emphasized the XRP Ledger's ability to support multiple issued assets, rather than concentrating activity around a single token.
The growth of RLUSD alongside other stablecoins such as USDB, EURCV, USDC, and EUROP is a key aspect of this development. These assets represent different currencies and issuers, adding to the network's activity beyond XRP.
