XRP Ledger Surpasses 5 Billion Lifetime Transactions
The XRP Ledger has reached a major milestone by surpassing 5 billion lifetime transactions. The blockchain network, launched in June 2012, has consistently processed transactions within 3 to 4 seconds and with minimal fees over its 14-year history.
Developer Hussein Zangana noted the steady performance of the ledger, expressing optimism for its continued growth.
The XRP Ledger has seen significant growth in institutional adoption, especially within decentralized finance. The current value of tokenized real-world assets on the ledger stands at $4.05 billion, a fourfold increase since 2026.
Data from rwa.xyz shows that more than 2.3 million agentic transactions have been executed on the XRP Ledger as artificial intelligence agents increasingly leverage the network.
