XRP Ledger Surpasses 500,000 Active Users Amid Consolidated Price Breakout
XRP Ledger has set new baselines for active users and transactions, surpassing 500,000 users for the first time. This increase in activity is significant, especially considering that newly created accounts have fallen by 34.6% to 1,400.
The data suggests that increased activity rather than a large-scale surge in new account creation is behind the recent increase. Transaction data backs this up, with successful transactions rising by 48.4% to approximately 1.5 million and total transactions increasing by 36% to 1.7 million.
Payments have also seen a significant rise, increasing by 53.5% to 705,100. However, the number of closed ledgers has decreased by 41.2%, which helps explain why the number of transactions per ledger has grown significantly more quickly than the total number of transactions.
The XRPL environment is mixed but becoming more active, with significantly more users and transactions but fewer newly created accounts and a lower overall payment volume. The recent price breakout in XRP is being consolidated, with the token currently trading close to $1.40 after rising from about $1.00 to momentarily reach about $1.70.
