XRP Ledger Surpasses 650,000 Payments Amid Growing Network Activity
The XRP Ledger has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 650,000 payments. This growth is part of a larger trend, with multiple network indicators rising concurrently. According to recent data, payments have increased by 47.8% to about 658,600. More importantly, successful transactions have grown by an even greater 82.4% to 1.6 million, while overall transactions have risen by 59.7% to approximately 2 million.
The growth of the network is not limited to payments alone. The number of transactions per ledger has increased by 59.7% to 99.12, and accounts created have grown by 20.7% to 2,300. Active accounts are currently at about 14,800 after increasing by 12.7%. However, there is a notable contradiction: even though the number of payments has significantly increased, the payment volume has decreased by 60.8% to about 443.1 million XRP.
This suggests that while the network is handling more individual payments, the average economic size of those transfers has shrunk. The price structure of XRP remains a crucial factor. Currently trading near $1.36, the asset is testing its 200-day moving average at $1.35. Holding above this level would maintain the larger bullish reversal structure and potentially pave the way for another attempt at $1.45-$1.50.
