XRP Ledger Surpasses 8 Million Accounts
The XRP Ledger has reached a significant milestone with over 8 million accounts, pushing the estimated balance required to rank among the top 1% of XRP wallets to around 44,930 XRP. This figure is often used as a benchmark by XRP investors, but analyst Cheeky Crypto warns that it should not be viewed as a fixed target due to the constantly changing distribution of holdings across all accounts.
As new accounts are created and balances shift, the entry threshold for the top 1% also moves. The expanding XRP Ledger is reshaping wallet ownership, with thousands of new accounts entering the network every day. This results in a continuous change in the number of wallets included in each percentile, causing the balance required to stay within that group to rise or fall over time.
The XRP Rich List ranks wallet addresses, not individual investors, which can lead to confusion about the number of unique holders. A single investor may control multiple wallets for different purposes, such as cold storage or trading, and their combined holdings may exceed the estimated threshold.
