The XRP Ledger has surpassed 8 million accounts, pushing the estimated balance required to rank among the top 1% of XRP wallets to around 44,930 XRP. According to analyst Cheeky Crypto, this threshold is not a fixed target and changes as new wallets are created, balances shift, and the network expands.

With approximately 8 million accounts on the ledger, the top 1% represents roughly 80,000 wallet addresses. The required balance to secure one of those positions is determined by the distribution of holdings across all accounts rather than a predetermined requirement.

The expanding XRP Ledger is changing how wallet ownership is distributed. Every new address added to the network affects percentile rankings, while existing holders continue to accumulate, sell, transfer, or consolidate XRP across different wallets.
