XRP Ledger Surpasses 8 Million Wallets, Threshold for Top Holders Drops
The XRP Ledger has reached an important milestone with over 8 million wallet addresses now in existence. This growth has changed the amount of XRP required to rank among the largest holders, with the top 10% now holding around 2,151 XRP.
This marks a decline from previous years when roughly 4,000 XRP was needed for the same ranking. As the number of wallets continues to grow, the thresholds for entry into higher percentile groups have also fallen.
At an XRP price of approximately $1.15, purchasing 2,151 XRP would cost around $2,500. In a hypothetical scenario where XRP's market capitalization matches Bitcoin's, XRP could trade above $20 per token, making the same holding worth over $50,000.
XRP is currently trading below its previous peak of around $3.50, resulting in a 65-70% decline from those highs. Long-term investors may view current prices as an accumulation opportunity, but future price performance remains uncertain.
