XRP Ledger Surpasses 8M Wallets, Top 10% Threshold Falls
The XRP Ledger has reached a significant milestone with over 8 million wallet addresses. This growth in wallet count has led to a notable shift in ownership, making it easier for holders to rank among the largest owners on the network. The data indicates that holding just 2,151 XRP is now enough to place an address within the top 10% of all XRP wallets.
This represents a considerable decline from the previous threshold of roughly 4,000 XRP, suggesting that XRP holdings have become more widely distributed across a growing number of wallet addresses. At the higher end of the distribution, approximately 44,000 XRP is now sufficient to enter the top 1% of holders.
The increase in wallet count and corresponding decrease in required XRP holdings for high-ranking ownership tiers have sparked different interpretations within the crypto community. Some view this as evidence of expanding adoption, while others argue that a significant portion of the supply may still be concentrated among relatively few large holders.
