XRP Ledger Surpasses Record with 3,254 Transactions in Single Block
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) has reached a record high of 3,254 transactions in a single block, surpassing previous records. This achievement is significant as it highlights the network's ability to process large volumes of simple payments efficiently.
The transaction surge occurred at a time when the price of XRP was climbing almost 4% amid developments surrounding the network.
According to an XRPL validator, Vet, who posted on X about the event, thousands of simple XRP payments can have a different computational burden on validators than complex transactions involving decentralized exchange (DEX) orders or non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Vet noted that the XRP Ledger's adaptive transaction target allows it to adjust its processing capacity based on validator performance and ledger close times.
