XRP Ledger Trading Concentrates Around Larger Accounts

The XRP Ledger has seen significant changes in its trading dynamics over the past year. The number of daily trading accounts on the decentralized exchange order book fell to 1,111 from 1,864.

This reduction in participants was accompanied by a tripling of average daily trading volume per account, which expanded to 3,217 XRP.

As a result, actual trading size became concentrated in fewer accounts, even as the number of participants declined. The average daily trading volume across the entire order book rose 79 percent from a year earlier to 3.57 million XRP.
